RTA Dedicates Special Numbers For Auction In Support Of Mothers’ Endowment Campaign

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its participation in the Most Noble Number charity auction, an event organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). This significant event is scheduled to take place at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach on 24 March. It aims to support the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, a noble initiative that seeks to honor mothers by creating a AED 1 billion endowment fund. This fund is dedicated to supporting the education of millions, thereby enhancing their quality of life and job market readiness.

In a gesture of support for this commendable cause, the RTA has committed to auctioning a set of 10 special vehicle plate numbers. The proceeds from this auction will directly contribute to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, offering donors an opportunity to honor their mothers through contributions. These donations are pivotal in supporting those in need through educational and training programs. The special plate numbers set for auction include O74, O51, V39, P42, Q49, T95, U53, U79, W62, and W85.

Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors at RTA, emphasized the significance of this initiative. He highlighted that the Mothers’ Endowment campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a testament to the UAE's commitment to humanitarian initiatives. This campaign not only honors mothers but also reinforces the UAE's global reputation for generosity under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Al Tayer further noted that dedicating this year’s initiative to mothers sends a powerful message about their essential role in nurturing children and building communities. He expressed RTA's dedication to supporting such humanitarian initiatives as part of its commitment to social responsibility.

Promoting Sustainable Endowment and a Culture of Giving

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign is designed to foster values such as honoring parents, kindness, compassion, and solidarity. It aims at establishing a sustainable endowment that empowers underprivileged populations through education. Charity auctions like the Most Noble Number have proven to be innovative methods for promoting a culture of giving. The previous edition of this auction raised an impressive AED 97,920 million for the ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ campaign.

The campaign continues to welcome donations through various channels. Contributions can be made via the campaign’s website (Mothersfund.ae), or through a dedicated call center at the toll-free number (800 9999). Bank transfers in UAE dirham are accepted at Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201). For those preferring SMS donations, sending the word "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038) for Etisalat by e& users is an option. Additionally, contributions can be made through the DubaiNow app by selecting the "Donations" tab or via Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).

This initiative not only highlights the importance of supporting underprivileged communities but also showcases the collective effort in honoring and recognizing the pivotal role of mothers in society.
