RTA Launches New Bridge Connecting Jumeirah Street To Al Mina Street In Dubai
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has inaugurated a significant bridge linking Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street, heading towards the Infinity Bridge. This newly opened bridge stretches 985 metres and features two lanes, capable of handling up to 3,200 vehicles per hour.
Part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project's Phase 4, this bridge is crucial for enhancing traffic flow. The project spans 4.8 kilometres from Sheikh Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street intersection to the Falcon Intersection on Al Mina Street.

The RTA is dedicated to fulfilling Dubai's leadership directives by addressing urban and population growth needs along the Al Shindagha Corridor. The new bridge aims to alleviate congestion and cut travel time by 67%, reducing it from 12 minutes to just 4 minutes for drivers moving from Jumeirah Street towards Infinity Bridge via Al Mina Street.
Phase 4 also includes five additional bridges, totalling 3.1 kilometres in length. These bridges are designed to accommodate a total of 19,400 vehicles per hour across all lanes. The project covers road enhancements over a stretch of 4.8 kilometres, including upgrades to key surface intersections on Jumeirah Street, Al Mina Street, and Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Street.
A significant milestone is anticipated in Q2 2025 with the completion of a three-lane bridge connecting Infinity Bridge to Al Wasl Street via Al Mina Street. This upcoming bridge will be 780 metres long and support up to 4,800 vehicles per hour once operational.
The project also plans for two pedestrian bridges—one on Sheikh Rashid Road and another on Al Mina Street—to further enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians in the area.
RTA's efforts are focused on improving Dubai's road network and traffic conditions through strategic projects like these, ensuring smoother commutes for residents and visitors alike.
