RSG Launches Laheq Island: A Premier Destination For Luxury Living And Experiences
Red Sea Global (RSG) has introduced Laheq Island, its inaugural private residential island in Saudi Arabia, promising a luxurious lifestyle. This marks the first residential initiative post the completion of Phase One of The Red Sea destination, which began hosting guests in 2023 with five resorts opening their doors.
Construction efforts are ongoing to finish 11 more resorts on Shura Island. Meanwhile, Red Sea International Airport is operational, offering regular domestic and international flights. Laheq Island is set to open in 2028 as the first project focused on residential ownership within the destination.

Located within an archipelago of 92 untouched islands along Saudi Arabia's west coast, Laheq Island is encircled by one of the world's largest barrier reefs. This reef is home to over 2,000 rare marine species. The island covers 400 hectares (4,000,000 square meters) and offers numerous recreational facilities for residents and visitors alike.
The Red Sea destination aims to be the world's largest tourism hub powered entirely by renewable energy. Upon completion, it will feature all facilities and resorts running on 100% renewable energy sources, including Laheq Island. RSG plans to plant 50 million mangrove trees and improve their habitats while safeguarding coral reefs and marine ecosystems.
By 2030, The Red Sea destination will boast 50 resorts with up to 8,000 hotel rooms and over 1,000 residential units across 22 islands and six inland sites. All 16 resorts from Phase One are anticipated to be fully operational this year. Red Sea International Airport will serve as the main entry point for both residents and tourists.
Laheq Island will offer exceptional hospitality services alongside its residential units. It represents a significant step towards expanding luxury living options within the Kingdom while maintaining a commitment to environmental sustainability.
The development of Laheq Island highlights RSG's dedication to creating a unique blend of luxury living and environmental conservation. With its focus on sustainable practices and renewable energy use, it sets a new standard for future developments in the region.
