Makkah's Hira Cultural District Comes Alive With 'Makkah Greets Us' Event
In a vibrant celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has unveiled the second annual "Makkah Greets Us" event in the Hira Cultural District. This festive occasion, which commenced today, is set to run until Monday, April 15, drawing in an anticipated crowd of over 15,000 visitors each day. The event promises a rich tapestry of more than 14 diverse programs designed to cater to all societal segments, offering a blend of cultural, entertainment, and historical experiences.
Among the highlights of this year’s event are the Revelation and Route to Makkah Exhibitions. These exhibitions offer visitors visual presentations that chronicle the descent of revelation and the historical Hajj routes. In addition to these insightful displays, attendees can look forward to engaging in a variety of activities including folk art performances, falcon shows, and captivating sound and light shows. A dedicated area for the crafts market along with children's activities and various entertainment options ensures that there’s something for everyone at the event.

The "Makkah Greets Us" event is a collaborative effort, held by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites in partnership with several key organizations. These include the Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP), the Holy Makkah Municipality, the Makkah Chamber, KIDANA development company, and AlBalad AlAmeen company. This collective endeavor aims to provide an enriching experience that celebrates the cultural and historical heritage of Makkah.
