Rostec Unveils Advanced Military Technology With 200 Products At IDEX 2025

Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec Corporation, highlighted the significant role Middle Eastern nations play in Russia's arms exports. These countries account for half of Rosoboronexport's contracts. During IDEX 2025, Chemezov shared that Rostec is showcasing a wide range of advanced weaponry, reflecting the latest battlefield innovations. Leading Russian firms like High-Precision Systems and Kalashnikov Concern are presenting around 200 military products.

Among the showcased items at the joint Rosoboronexport exhibition are armoured vehicles, combat modules, artillery, ammunition, anti-aircraft systems, and small arms. A standout feature is the T-90MS ‘Breakthrough’ tank. This tank has been significantly upgraded based on real combat experiences. It now includes advanced intelligence systems and a modern fire control system.

The T-90MS also boasts enhanced firepower and improved armour to resist anti-tank weapons and drone attacks. Another highlight is a new version of the Pantsir Air Defence System. This system was specifically developed to counter drones and can carry 48 mini missiles. This capability replaces several conventional defence batteries.

The Kornet Missile System will also be featured at IDEX 2025. It now includes remote-controlled functionality, which improves battlefield flexibility and troop safety. This system serves as an effective alternative to traditional field artillery.

In aviation, Rostec is displaying helicopters such as the Ka-32 Fire Service Helicopter, known for its stability in urban firefighting. Upgraded versions of the Ansat and Mi-8 helicopters are also on display. These helicopters are designed to function in extreme desert conditions with high temperatures.

Chemezov emphasized that automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence are key priorities for Rostec. The company has developed the Depesha multi-purpose robotic platform. This unmanned system can perform various tasks like transporting supplies and evacuating wounded personnel.

Civilian Applications

Rostec has introduced the Prometheus software and hardware complex for automating ground vehicles such as tanks and self-propelled artillery. This technology allows both remote and direct crew control, enhancing operational flexibility significantly.

Apart from military uses, Rostec is advancing AI-driven solutions for civilian sectors too. Chemezov mentioned unmanned trucks used for commercial transport on the Moscow – St. Petersburg motorway. Currently, 18 trucks are operating in test mode with plans for mass production soon.

This comprehensive showcase at IDEX 2025 underscores Rostec's commitment to innovation across both military and civilian domains.
