ROSHN Group Hosts Supply Chain Forum, Signing Multiple MoUs To Enhance Local Content In Saudi Arabia
ROSHN Group, a company under the Public Investment Fund (PIF), recently hosted its second Supply Chain Forum. This event attracted over 400 suppliers to discuss strategies for enhancing local content and building national capacity in Saudi Arabia. The focus was on job creation and developing robust supply chains to support the country's economic growth.
The forum saw ROSHN signing several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various companies. These included VIMAR for smart home technologies and AE7 for architectural and engineering services. Other agreements were with Foshan Homonisia, China Foshan Desilesi Home Technology, Guangdong SUNCOO Technology, Guangdong Hegeying Construction Engineering, and Ledman Optoelectronic to localise building material production.

ROSHN's strategy involves collaborating with suppliers to establish manufacturing facilities within Saudi Arabia. This includes working with global partners to expand operations locally, such as producing sanitaryware and setting up a pre-cast concrete facility at SEDRA. By shifting production to the Kingdom, ROSHN aims to create more sustainable supply chains.
Executive Director Commercial at ROSHN Group, Iain McBride, emphasised the importance of these partnerships. "We want to bring our suppliers to the Kingdom and show them the opportunities that there are here to establish facilities and manufacturing," he stated. McBride highlighted that the forum showcased how they could enhance local capacity through collaboration.
An MoU was also signed with Bton International to explore a strategic partnership focused on using sustainable low-carbon concrete solutions in construction projects. This aligns with ROSHN's commitment to sustainability in its development initiatives.
McBride further noted that signing these MoUs during the event underscores ROSHN's dedication to contributing to Saudi Arabia's economic diversification through its local content strategy. The company's efforts aim at fostering economic growth by building resilient supply chains within the Kingdom.
The forum provided a platform for suppliers and partners to engage directly with ROSHN's vision of expanding local manufacturing capabilities. By doing so, it supports national objectives of increasing employment opportunities and strengthening economic infrastructure.
