ROSHN Launches RGIC To Enhance Sustainability Efforts Under Saudi Green Initiative
ROSHN, a prominent real estate developer in Saudi Arabia, has inaugurated the ROSHN Green Initiative Center (RGIC). This facility aligns with the Saudi Green Initiative and functions as both a tree nursery and an educational hub. It aims to enhance greenery within ROSHN communities and nearby areas. The center is open to the public, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
At the RGIC launch, ROSHN signed four agreements with Saudi organizations focusing on sustainability. These partnerships aim to advance green concepts like the circular economy, carbon emission reduction, and ecological regeneration. The initiative supports ROSHN's commitment to fostering sustainable practices across its developments.

Since its inception last year under the Yuhyeek CSR program, the ROSHN Green Initiative has achieved significant milestones. Over 32,000 seedlings, 25,000 mangrove trees, and 4,300 other trees have been planted throughout Saudi Arabia. This effort involved more than 3,000 volunteers and participation from 75 schools.
The RGIC is equipped with advanced technologies capable of producing 2,000 trees annually. It also serves as a learning center offering educational activities for individuals and organizations interested in supporting Saudi Arabia's sustainability goals. The trees cultivated here will be planted in ROSHN communities and various locations nationwide.
ROSHN is dedicated to creating human-centric communities that prioritize sustainability. Its operations focus on energy efficiency, water conservation, materials management, waste reduction, transport connectivity, and community well-being. These efforts reflect its commitment to eco-friendly practices in all developments.
As one of the first Saudi organizations to join the UN Global Compact, ROSHN demonstrates its dedication to advancing sustainability and ecological regeneration. This membership underscores its role as a leader in promoting sustainable development within the Kingdom.
The RGIC's establishment marks a significant step towards environmental preservation as outlined by the Saudi Green Initiative. By integrating state-of-the-art technologies and fostering community engagement through education, ROSHN aims to contribute positively to environmental conservation efforts across Saudi Arabia.
