ROSHN Group Launches First Commercial Bootcamp For Saudi SMEs

ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading multi-asset class real estate developer and PIF-owned giga-project, recently held its inaugural Commercial Bootcamp. The event aimed to empower general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by offering upskilling opportunities within the industry. Local companies attended the bootcamp, which highlighted ROSHN’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of local contractors and diversifying the Kingdom’s economy.

The bootcamp was designed to equip contractors with essential construction cost management skills. Participants learned to develop accurate cost estimates using effective methods and software tools. They also explored strategies to control costs during projects, mitigate cost risks, navigate changes, and maximize profitability through optimized financial management, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering.

The event featured interactive sessions led by world-class speakers who offered global perspectives and diverse experiences. Senior leaders from ROSHN’s commercial and procurement departments were joined by experts such as Dean Furey, Head of Real Estate for Turner & Townsend; Charlie Shepherd, Director of Cost Consultancy; Malungelo Msomi, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS); and Uwais Haroon, an Associate Director with extensive experience in refurbishment and new build projects across the UK and Middle East.
