Early preparations involved thorough inspections of roads connecting the holy sites, highlighting the authority's commitment to a seamless pilgrimage experience.

Significant infrastructure improvements have been made, including the completion of 234.21 km of new road projects and maintenance of 7,401.5 km of existing roads. The RGA has installed 125,591 reflective studs and 1,622 directional and warning signs to enhance safety. Preparations for Hajj Pilgrims' Safe Travel

To further ensure safety and manage traffic demands, over 20 modern technologies and two innovations have been introduced. The deployment of 300 round-the-clock road monitors helps maintain smooth traffic flow. These efforts are part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance the pilgrim experience through advanced technology and meticulous planning.

The RGA is utilizing the world's largest AI-driven road survey and inspection fleet to improve road conditions. This includes equipment for damage mapping, skid resistance testing, deviation and thickness inspection, roughness index testing, drone-based assessments, and paint quality tests. These technologies enable precise evaluations, contributing to safer travel conditions for pilgrims.

The Kingdom's extensive road network spans over 73,000 km, playing a crucial role in connecting holy sites with regions across the country. This network supports economic, tourist, and social movement while facilitating Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. The RGA coordinates this essential sector through appropriate policies and legislation focused on safety, quality, and traffic management.

Global Recognition in Infrastructure Quality

These initiatives have elevated Saudi Arabia's ranking in infrastructure quality to fourth among G20 nations. The Kingdom is also ranked first globally in road connectivity and first in the Arab region for warning vibration technologies. These achievements reflect the authority’s ongoing dedication to serving pilgrims traveling via Saudi Arabia's roads.

The RGA's efforts underscore its strategic ambitions aimed at enhancing safety and quality in the road sector. By implementing these measures, the authority strives to provide an exceptional experience for pilgrims during their sacred journey.
