Roads General Authority Chief Inspects Halat Ammar Crossing To Ensure Pilgrim Safety Ahead Of Hajj Season
Eng. Badr Al Dulami, acting Chief Executive of the Roads General Authority (RGA), recently visited the Halat Ammar crossing in Tabuk. This inspection aimed to assess the readiness and quality of services for visitors to the Holy Sites. The RGA is committed to ensuring safe and comfortable travel for pilgrims during Hajj.
The Tabuk road network is crucial for pilgrims entering from Jordan and nearby countries. It stretches 470 kilometers from the Halat Ammar crossing to Madinah's administrative boundaries. This network serves both Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, focusing on their convenience and security.

The RGA is dedicated to providing advanced infrastructure, improving road quality, and ensuring safety. These efforts align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to enhance services for pilgrims. The authority is intensifying field monitoring to ensure roads are ready before the upcoming Hajj season.
The RGA has mobilised its resources, including the world's largest road survey and evaluation fleet, to optimise conditions for pilgrims. This fleet uses cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence for comprehensive road assessments. These tools evaluate damage, skid resistance, deflection, thickness, roughness, drone technology, and floor paint quality.
These technological advancements enable precise evaluations while saving time and effort. The RGA stated that these initiatives have improved Saudi Arabia's road infrastructure quality ranking. The Kingdom now ranks fourth among G20 countries and first globally in road connectivity.
Commitment to Safety Standards
The RGA remains focused on meeting high safety standards for pilgrim travel. It aims to enhance the traveller experience by ensuring optimal road conditions through rigorous monitoring and resource mobilisation.
This commitment reflects the broader goal of aligning with Vision 2030 by developing services provided to pilgrims. By prioritising safety and comfort, the RGA seeks to streamline the journey for those visiting the Holy Sites.
The authority continues its efforts to provide a seamless travel experience for pilgrims by maintaining high-quality infrastructure and implementing advanced technologies in road management.
