Roads General Authority Chief Inspects Halat Ammar Crossing To Ensure Hajj Pilgrim Safety

The Roads General Authority (RGA) is actively working to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims traveling to the Holy Sites. Eng. Badr Al Dulami, acting Chief Executive, recently inspected the Halat Ammar crossing in Tabuk. This inspection is part of a larger initiative to enhance service quality for visitors during Hajj.

The Tabuk road network plays a crucial role as it serves as a main entry point for pilgrims from Jordan and nearby countries. This network extends 470 kilometers from the Halat Ammar crossing to Madinah's administrative boundaries, catering to both Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. The RGA is committed to improving infrastructure quality and road safety to facilitate smoother pilgrim journeys.

The RGA is dedicated to advancing infrastructure by aligning with Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing services for pilgrims. The authority is intensifying field monitoring efforts to ensure roads are ready before the Hajj season. Improving traveler experiences remains a top priority, with all resources mobilized for optimal conditions.

To achieve these goals, the RGA employs the world's largest road survey and evaluation fleet. This fleet uses cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence for comprehensive road assessments. Evaluations include checking for damage, skid resistance, deflection, thickness, roughness, and floor paint quality using drones.

These advanced technologies allow for precise assessments while reducing time and effort. The RGA's initiatives have significantly improved road infrastructure quality rankings. As a result, Saudi Arabia now ranks fourth among G20 countries and first globally in road connectivity.
