Riyadh Showcases Philippine Culture Days Featuring Arts And Contributions From Filipino Community

The Philippine Culture Days began this evening as part of the "Global Harmony 2" initiative. Organised by the Ministry of Media, in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority and supported by the Quality of Life Program, the event took place at Al-Suwaidi Park, a Riyadh Season 2025 zone. Thousands attended to experience an immersive cultural journey showcasing Philippine culture's richness and traditional arts.

Visitors were treated to musical performances by prominent Filipino artists and influencers. Cultural pavilions offered insights into daily Filipino life through bazaars featuring traditional clothing, popular food stalls, and themed photo-shoot experiences with folkloric costumes. This created a lively celebration of Philippine identity.

Filipino artisans demonstrated traditional crafts such as shellcrafting, accessory-making, and handcrafted art. These live demonstrations provided a visual experience for visitors to appreciate the intricate details involved in these crafts. The opening day also included a musical concert featuring Filipino performers.

More than 70 exhibitors and artistic performers participated, presenting various musical and folk shows that combined traditional arts with modern rhythms. This blend captivated audiences and encouraged strong engagement throughout the event.

The "Global Harmony 2" initiative offers over 200 children's activities across 49 days, attracting consistent family attendance throughout the week. The four-day Philippine Culture Days event is part of a larger series of global cultural activities aimed at promoting cultural exchange and showcasing Saudi Arabia's embrace of diversity.

This event highlights the success stories of Filipino residents in Saudi Arabia, emphasising their social, economic, and cultural roles along with their diverse contributions. It serves as a platform to celebrate their achievements within the Kingdom.
