Riyadh Season Celebrates Excellence At The 2024 MENA Effie Awards Ceremony
The 2024 "MENA Effie" Awards ceremony took place in Riyadh as part of the Riyadh Season, celebrating 90 winners across more than 40 categories. These winners were chosen from 850 submissions spanning various fields. The event attracted over 650 professionals from marketing, advertising, and communications sectors in the Middle East and North Africa, along with notable figures from business, media, and culture.
Eng. Ahmed Arafah, Vice President of Marketing Communication at the General Entertainment Authority, highlighted that hosting the "MENA Effie" Awards during Riyadh Season underscores its status as a global platform for international events. He noted that Riyadh Season is not solely about entertainment but also serves as a hub for creative pioneers worldwide to exchange ideas and expertise.

Arafah expressed optimism that the event would foster broader collaboration with international and regional partners. The Grand Prix was awarded to Egyptian Gulf Bank in partnership with People of the Internet agency. Silver winners impressed with bold ideas and sharp focus, featuring local brands like Almarai, Rani, Basata, and Yas Island for their outstanding creative campaigns.
Bronze award recipients made a lasting impact with their campaigns. Saudi Arabia's BigTime Creative Shop was named the fastest-growing agency in the Middle East and North Africa this year. Meanwhile, People of the Internet received recognition as the "Most Impactful Independent Agency".
