Riyadh Season 2025 Unveiled: Turki Alalshikh Announces Major Events And Economic Impact

The General Entertainment Authority's Chairman, Turki Alalshikh, unveiled the details of Riyadh Season 2025 at a recent press conference. The event will commence on Friday, October 10, with a grand parade near Boulevard City at 4 p.m. This year's season signifies a significant advancement in Saudi Arabia's entertainment sector, building on the success of previous editions that have positioned Riyadh as a global entertainment hub.

Alalshikh expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering support of the entertainment industry. Their backing has transformed it into a vital economic contributor and a cornerstone of Saudi Vision 2030. The latest edition of Riyadh Season attracted over 20 million visitors from more than 135 countries, with over 3,300 international media visits and 110 billion media impressions worldwide.

Riyadh Season 2025 Details Announced

This year's Riyadh Season introduces groundbreaking international collaborations, including a partnership with MrBeast to launch "Beast Land," a unique 200,000-square-meter zone featuring over 27 rides and experiences. Additionally, the Royal Rumble WWE event will be hosted outside North America for the first time, underscoring Riyadh's commitment to attracting world-class events.

Riyadh Season will also host the Joy Forum on October 16-17 at Boulevard City. This forum will feature prominent figures like MrBeast, UFC President Dana White, sports legend Jon Jones, basketball icon Shaquille O'Neal, TV host Daymond John, and Indian actor Aamir Khan. These events highlight Riyadh's leadership in global entertainment.

The season features 11 major entertainment zones across Riyadh with participation from over 2,100 companies—95% local—through 4,200 private sector contracts. Boulevard World will offer enhanced content with new subzones representing Kuwait, South Korea, and Indonesia. Meanwhile, Boulevard City will host eight sports tournaments and various entertainment experiences.

New zones include Boulevard Flowers with over 200 million flowers and Anb Arena hosting an international jewelry exhibition. For the first time, "Auria Cruise" offers a floating entertainment zone on the Red Sea with luxury amenities. The season aims to engage all societal segments through family-friendly content.

Cultural Enrichment and Economic Impact

Riyadh Zoo has been revamped to house over 1,600 animals from 170 species across six themed zones for educational family experiences. Al-Suwaidi Park will continue showcasing diverse cultures through concerts and cultural carnivals featuring countries like Yemen and Egypt. This reflects Riyadh Season's commitment to cultural diversity.

The sixth edition supports the national economy by creating over 25,000 direct jobs and more than 100,000 indirect jobs in various fields. It empowers national talents while strengthening local supply chains and fostering collaboration with government entities to ensure sustainable growth in the sector.

Social Responsibility Initiatives

Alalshikh highlighted Riyadh Season's focus on community initiatives like "Laylat Al-Omr" (Night of a Lifetime), which achieved significant humanitarian impact last year. Plans are underway to enhance this initiative for future launches in coordination with sponsors to ensure its continued success.

"The Flying Over Saudi Arabia experience," developed over three years, debuts this season promoting tourism across Saudi regions. It allows up to 90 people simultaneously to enjoy an interactive aerial journey across Saudi destinations.

The chairman concluded by stating that Riyadh Season 2025 marks a pivotal moment in global entertainment history. He emphasized that Riyadh has become synonymous with creativity and international excellence in culture and entertainment.
