Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 Showcases Over 2,000 Publishing Houses And Cultural Institutions

The Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, now in its third day, continues to be the largest cultural event in Saudi Arabia and the region. It hosts over 2,000 publishing houses and agencies from more than 25 countries. The fair, themed "Riyadh Reads," is held at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and features Saudi, Arab, and international cultural institutions.

Uzbekistan is honoured as this year's guest country, presenting its rich cultural heritage through manuscripts, publications, and performances by notable Uzbek artists. This inclusion highlights Uzbekistan's artistic and historical contributions to the global community.

The fair's cultural programme offers a variety of intellectual events. More than 200 seminars, panel discussions, and workshops are available for attendees. These events encourage dialogue and provide insights into various topics. Additionally, there are activities specifically designed for children.

Visitors can also engage with authors at book-signing platforms. These interactions allow readers to meet their favourite writers and gain deeper insights into their works. The fair thus serves as a bridge between authors and their audience.

This year’s business zone returns with a fresh format involving over 30 entities. It plays a crucial role in supporting the publishing industry by promoting authors' rights and fostering partnerships both locally and internationally.

Ahmed Al-Otaibi, a Saudi reader, shared his enthusiasm about the fair: "a window open to the world’s cultures." He eagerly anticipates this annual event to explore new releases from around the globe.

The Saudi Press Agency captured feedback from various visitors during a tour of the fair. Participants expressed appreciation for the diverse offerings and opportunities to engage with different cultures.
