Riyadh Hosts Global Leaders For Human Capability Initiative Conference Focused On Future Development

The Human Capability Initiative (HCI) Conference's second edition began in Riyadh, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event, themed "Beyond Readiness," is taking place at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center. It has attracted over 300 leaders, policymakers, and experts from 38 countries, representing academia, the private sector, and non-profit organisations.

Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan stated that this edition builds on the previous one's success. He highlighted Saudi Arabia's leading role in global discussions about human capacity development. The conference aims to exchange experiences and explore best practices for enhancing human capacity amid rapid global changes.

Global Leaders Gather in Riyadh for HCI Conference

The conference includes more than 100 dialogue sessions across four platforms. These sessions focus on innovative models for empowering individuals and communities. Participants will discuss strengthening collaboration among public, private, and non-profit sectors to develop sustainable solutions.

A ministerial roundtable with 20 ministers worldwide is one of the significant events planned. Additionally, a meeting of the UNESCO Executive Board will take place during the conference. Several agreements related to human capacity development are expected to be announced at both local and global levels.

The HCI Conference is organised by the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP), part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative. This effort is in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The ministry will also host the Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx) from April 13 to 16 in Riyadh.

This exhibition aims to create a week dedicated to human capacity and education. It serves as a platform for unlocking human potential, furthering the Kingdom's commitment to advancing educational initiatives.

The conference offers an opportunity for participants to examine future trends in human capacity development. By focusing on innovative approaches and collaboration, it seeks to address challenges posed by rapid global changes effectively.
