Riyadh is set to host the "Battle of the Giants" event, featuring three major fights. The highlight will be a clash between reigning Professional Fighters League (PFL) heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira from Brazil and Cameroonian challenger Francis Ngannou at the Mayadeen Venue. This event is part of Saudi Arabia's initiative to host significant sporting events, overseen by the Ministry of Sport and organized by the Saudi Mixed Martial Arts Federation in collaboration with the PFL.

The event will also feature a lightweight fight between former featherweight world champion AJ McKee from the United States and rising Irish talent Paul Hughes. Brazilian world champion Cris Cyborg will face her compatriot Larissa Pacheco for the women's featherweight world championship. Additionally, American Johnny Eblen will compete against British Fabian Edwards for the world middleweight title.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), expressed pride in hosting this event. He stated, "This is another major sporting event hosted by the Kingdom, showcasing the significant progress we have made in hosting major events. This aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals, supported by generous sports sector investments." The Prince highlighted that mixed martial arts fans worldwide have an exciting date ahead.

Swiss fighter Husain Kadimagomaev will face German opponent Zafar Mohsen in a featherweight bout. Fans eagerly anticipate the main event, a historic showdown between heavyweight PFL champion Renan Ferreira and MMA star Francis Ngannou. This match promises intense competition and thrilling action at Riyadh's Mayadeen Venue.

Five preliminary fights are scheduled before the main competitions. These include a middleweight match between Saudi fighter Mostafa Nada and Egyptian opponent Ahmed Sami. Bahraini Youssef Al-Housani will take on Moroccan contender Taha Bindaoud in a featherweight match. This diverse lineup exemplifies Saudi Arabia's inclusive approach to hosting major sporting tournaments.
