Riyadh To Host Global Labor Market Conference With 45 Ministers And Experts From Over 100 Countries
Riyadh is preparing to host the second Global Labor Market Conference from January 29 to 30. This event, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will gather 45 labour ministers and experts from G20 countries, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. The international ministerial meeting will focus on future labour market policies and trends.
The conference aims to address challenges related to youth employment and highlight innovative initiatives for increasing youth participation in the global economy. It presents a unique opportunity to unify international efforts in tackling unemployment and developing policies that align with evolving labour market needs amid rapid economic and technological changes.

Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain stated that the meeting seeks to leverage global participants' capabilities, knowledge, and expertise. It serves as a platform for cooperation to enhance policies and legislation, improve work environments, and address existing challenges. These efforts are expected to positively impact both Saudi and global labour markets.
The conference is held in partnership with several international organisations including the International Labour Organization, World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and Misk Foundation. More than 200 speakers from over 100 countries will participate, making it a key platform for research, dialogue, and knowledge-sharing.
Chaired by Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi, the conference will delve into future policies concerning labour markets. It will also explore ways to develop policies that meet the changing needs of these markets due to economic and technological transformations.
