Riyadh Eid Celebrations Draw Over Half A Million Visitors

The Riyadh Region Municipality's organization of festive events for Eid Al-Fitr has attracted an impressive turnout, with citizens and residents flocking to celebrate across the capital and its surrounding governorates. The celebrations were spread over more than 88 locations, including 13 in Riyadh and 75 in other areas, bringing together communities in a vibrant display of culture and joy.

These festivities featured a rich array of activities, from the mesmerizing fireworks that lit up the night sky to the traditional Saudi Ardah dance and other folklore arts that captivated audiences. Additionally, there were corners dedicated to showcasing the talents of productive families, alongside theater performances, various shows, and an assortment of events that catered to all ages. Public parks and municipal squares were also equipped with games, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The municipality's efforts in preparing these sites for Eid celebrations were thorough, ensuring all necessary works, including logistical support and the development of new locations, were completed ahead of the vacation period. This meticulous preparation was aimed at accommodating the increasing number of visitors, a goal that was successfully achieved as evidenced by the attendance figures. Over half a million people participated in the celebrations, with 120,000 visitors in the region and a staggering 390,000 in Riyadh alone.

Under the supervision and diligent follow-up of Prince Dr. Faisal bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh region, these Eid festivities not only provided joy and entertainment for hundreds of thousands but also demonstrated the municipality's capability to host large-scale events. The expansion of celebration sites and the comprehensive planning behind them have significantly contributed to managing the steady rise in visitor numbers compared to previous years.
