Ritz-Carlton AMAALA Set To Open In 2025 Through Red Sea Global And Marriott Collaboration

Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced a strategic partnership with Marriott International, Inc. to launch The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA. This marks their fourth collaboration, following the openings of The St. Regis Red Sea Resort and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and the signing of The Red Sea EDITION. The new hotel is set to open in 2025 at Triple Bay's northernmost point.

The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA will feature 391 guestrooms with views of the Marina Village, sea, and mountains. Notably, 80% of these rooms will offer water-facing views. John Pagano, RSG Group's chief executive, stated that AMAALA is setting a new standard in wellness travel and luxury coastal living with this addition.

Ritz-Carlton AMAALA to Open in 2025

Jerome Briet from Marriott International expressed excitement about enhancing their relationship with RSG. "We are thrilled to strengthen our relationship with Red Sea Global to bring an unrivaled level of luxury to the north of the Kingdom’s coast," he said. The resort will be nestled among natural sand dunes that have been preserved by the developer.

The design by Foster + Partners aims to integrate seamlessly with the environment. It will reflect Al Wajh's local architecture and offer shaded spaces using native canopies. The resort's façade is designed to maximize sea views from various angles.

The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA will boast multiple dining venues, including sunset restaurants overlooking the Red Sea. Leisure amenities include fitness centers, a spa, pools for adults and families, a rock pool, and extensive event spaces for up to 1,500 guests.

Guests will have direct access to the beachfront and swimmable coastline. The resort will also provide comprehensive fitness and wellness facilities along with outdoor sports activities.

Development Progress

Phase One of AMAALA focuses on the Triple Bay masterplan and is progressing well. It aims to welcome its first guests in 2025 with eight resorts offering over 1,400 hotel keys.

Upon completion, AMAALA will host more than 4,000 hotel rooms across 30 hotels. Additionally, it will feature around 1,200 luxury residential villas, apartments, and estate homes complemented by high-end retail outlets and fine dining options.

This development underscores the growing demand for luxury experiences in emerging destinations within Saudi Arabia.
