Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo Tournament Set For January 17-18, 2025 In Saudi Arabia
The Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo, the first desert polo tournament globally, is set to return to AlUla from January 17 to 18, 2025. This event promises a grand celebration of sport, culture, and equestrian heritage. Organised by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) in collaboration with the Saudi Polo Federation, it will be held at AlFursan Equestrian Village amidst the ancient oasis city's breathtaking landscape.
The tournament has become a significant fixture in Saudi Arabia's sports and social calendar. Ziad AlSuhaibani, Chief Sports Officer at the RCU, stated, "This tournament has become a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s sports and social calendar, showcasing the unique blend of tradition and modernity that defines our region. We look forward to continuing to inspire, connect, and elevate the global appreciation of equestrian sports while aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030's goals of enhancing cultural tourism and offering world-class sporting experiences in the Kingdom."

Richard Mille returns as the title sponsor for this unique polo event. The brand's involvement highlights its dedication to excellence in sports and events. The two-day occasion will feature a mix of top-tier polo, history, heritage, and glamour. It is an essential event on Saudi Arabia’s sports and social agenda.
Some of the world's best polo players are expected to compete in this tournament. Among them is Adolfo Cambiaso from Argentina, who is renowned globally and leads La Dolfina Polo Team. His son Adolfo "Poroto" Cambiaso and daughter Mia Cambiaso will join him in AlUla. Other notable participants include Nacho Figueras, often referred to as the "David Beckham of polo," along with Pablo Mac Donough.
The competition will feature six teams consisting of three players each: one professional player, one international patron, and one dignitary. Over two days, these teams will vie for the coveted Desert Polo trophy through thrilling matches.
Since its inception in 2020, Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo has established itself as a key event in Saudi Arabia’s sports scene. It has positioned AlUla as a prominent international polo destination. The 2025 edition expects attendance from royalty, celebrities, and polo enthusiasts at AlFursan Equestrian Village.
