Registration Now Open For The Saudi Media Forum Award Celebrating Media Excellence

The Saudi Media Forum Award Secretariat has begun accepting entries for its annual award, coinciding with the forum's events and the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX). This award celebrates exceptional media creativity across various fields, motivating media professionals to produce outstanding work. It highlights the crucial role media plays in fostering development across all sectors.

Participants from both public and private sectors are encouraged to join through the communication and public relations category, particularly in the media campaigns track. The award spans four primary areas with 15 tracks, including journalism disciplines like data journalism, press reporting, field journalistic work, and op-ed articles.

Beyond journalism, the award also acknowledges non-journalistic media content. This includes television programs such as sports shows, social dialogue series, documentaries, podcasts, and academic research in media. These categories aim to cover a wide range of media expressions and innovations.

The forum also honours individual contributions with special awards. Categories include Media Personality of the Year and Best Digital Content Award, which is determined by public opinion. Additionally, there is a Newspaper Column Award and a newly introduced Tolerance Award.

The Tolerance Award was created in collaboration with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue. It aims to foster tolerance through media initiatives. This new category reflects the forum's commitment to promoting understanding and acceptance.

Media professionals and organisations are invited to submit their entries via the official award platform by December 10. Detailed information about participation requirements can be found on the forum's website at saudimf.sa/ar/awards.

This initiative not only recognises excellence but also encourages continuous improvement in media practices. By celebrating diverse achievements, it aims to inspire further innovation within the industry.
