The UAE has played a leading role in humanitarian aid to Gaza, contributing US$1.8 billion since the war began. This aid includes essential supplies delivered via 8,000 trucks and medical treatment for nearly 75,000 patients. Additionally, six desalination plants provide two million gallons of clean water daily to support the region's needs.

Al Hashimy expressed the UAE's commitment to expanding its assistance further. Plans include extending water pipelines and increasing distribution points. The number of bakeries will rise to 50 and community kitchens to over 100. These facilities aim to produce about 25,000 metric tonnes of food monthly.

The UAE also plans to enhance medical aid with new supply deliveries and vaccination drives. Maternal care clinics will be established to improve healthcare services. Ahead of winter, more tents, caravans, and shelters will be deployed to accommodate those in need.

Earlier that day, Al Hashimy participated in a meeting with Arab foreign ministers and President Macron. She also held bilateral discussions with foreign ministers from Egypt, France, Italy, Jordan, Qatar, and the UK on the sidelines of the main event.

Al Hashimy emphasised that sustained unity among regional and international partners is crucial for long-term success. Urgent initiatives are needed for transition and stabilisation in Gaza. The UAE remains committed to scaling up its humanitarian efforts significantly in the coming period.

The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration among nations to achieve lasting peace in the region. With continued support from international partners like the UAE, there is hope for a stable future in Gaza through coordinated efforts.
