Red Sea Global Trains Nearly 2,000 Students To Enhance Tourism Talent In Saudi Arabia

Red Sea Global (RSG) has been making strides in education since 2019, focusing on nurturing future leaders in tourism. Through 16 educational initiatives, RSG has provided training and learning opportunities for Saudi talent, creating job prospects across more than 20 entities within its destinations. A total of 1,995 students have participated in these programs, which cover fields like luxury hospitality, airport services, and health tourism.

In February 2024, during the Human Capability Initiative conference in Riyadh, RSG announced the creation of The Red Sea National Academy (TRSNA). This academy will focus on hospitality and tourism-related fields. It plans to collaborate with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Colleges of Excellence to offer joint programs. These programs aim to train participants in specializations that meet regional labor market demands.

Empowering Tourism Talent at Red Sea Global

The academy's goal is to equip local talent with skills necessary for strengthening Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector. RSG's education department aims to prepare the next generation with essential skills and promising career paths, aligning with its vision to develop world-class destinations. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to build a bright future for national talent by engaging and empowering young Saudis.

As part of this strategy, 122 young men and women have been employed at Red Sea International Airport (RSI) after completing RSG's educational and training programs. This reflects RSG's commitment to achieving tangible milestones through youth empowerment. The Red Sea destination currently welcomes guests across five resorts.

Since September 2023, Red Sea International Airport has been receiving domestic flights from Jeddah and Riyadh. Additionally, flights from Dammam began operating twice weekly in December 2024. International connectivity expanded with twice-weekly flights from Dubai starting in April 2024.

RSG's efforts are not only about education but also about enhancing employment opportunities within the tourism sector. By equipping young Saudis with relevant skills, RSG contributes significantly to the Kingdom’s vision for a thriving tourism industry.
