Red Sea Global Celebrates Successful Conclusion Of Second Red Sea Sailing Race Event
The second edition of the "Red Sea Sailing Race" concluded at Turtle Bay, part of The Red Sea destination. Over two days, traditional competitions and festivities took place, drawing company leaders and partners to the closing ceremony. This year's theme, "Hoist the Sail," was inspired by the sail's cultural significance in the region as a symbol of perseverance and connection.
Eng. Ahmad Darwish, Chief Administrative Officer and Official Spokesperson for Red Sea Global (RSG), expressed pride in the event's success. He stated: "We are proud to conclude this exceptional edition of a race that has become an annual icon through which we celebrate the timeless relationship between the people of this region and the sea."

The main race featured 14 traditional boats, while five boats competed in the youth category. A total of 95 sailors showcased their skills in traditional sailing. The event attracted a large audience and media presence, highlighting its growing popularity as a sports event at The Red Sea destination.
Turtle Bay Beach became a lively community carnival during the event. Families and residents from nearby areas enjoyed various activities and performances by traditional folk bands. These performances celebrated regional heritage, blending competition with historical spirit.
Eng. Ahmad Darwish also noted: "The strong media presence, along with the remarkable community interaction from families and visitors, reaffirms the prominent position The Red Sea destination now occupies as a promising global platform for marine sports." This aligns with Saudi Arabia’s goals to enhance its international tourism and sports profile.
At the end of the competitions, winners across all categories were honoured. Partners and teams who contributed to making the event a cultural festival were also recognised. RSG is committed to enhancing this annual event, aiming to attract marine sports enthusiasts worldwide.
