AlUla's Royal Commission Strengthens Global Cultural Connections At Key Forums
The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has recently engaged in two significant global cultural forums: the Silk Road Dialogue in Istanbul, Turkey, and the 5th International Ancient Capitals Forum in Luoyang, China. These events are part of RCU's ongoing efforts to bolster the Saudi-Chinese partnership.
The Silk Road Dialogue took place from June 27 to 30 and featured numerous exhibitions and panel discussions. The RCU used this platform to engage with experts, culture and heritage specialists, and leaders from the tourism sector in China and beyond. This participation aligns with RCU's commitment to preserving cultural heritage.

During the forum, efforts were made to facilitate official visits to AlUla and other destinations. The RCU aimed to expand existing strategic partnerships, establish new ones, and strengthen connections with partners from China and other Silk Road countries. This initiative is intended to attract international visitors and showcase shared heritage.
AlUla is a founding member of the Silk Road International Tourism Alliance. This alliance includes 58 destinations from 26 countries working together to promote sustainable tourism and preserve shared human history. The RCU's involvement underscores AlUla's position as a historical destination of global significance.
The 5th International Ancient Capitals Forum was held from June 26 to 28. At this event, the RCU showcased its efforts in protecting and promoting cultural heritage. History experts, government officials, and diplomats from China and worldwide attended, highlighting AlUla's established position as a historical destination.
Expanding Strategic Partnerships
The forum was launched to enhance dialogue and cooperation between cities with thousands of years of history. This initiative is based on an agreement signed earlier this year between AlUla and its Chinese partners in the Cultural Heritage Administration of Henan Province.
Officials from the RCU met with representatives of the Luoyang municipal government in Henan Province. They discussed areas of cooperation including tourism, agriculture, heritage preservation, and urban development while exploring new sectors for partnership between China and Saudi Arabia.
The participation of RCU in these forums provided important platforms for reinforcing AlUla's position as the world's largest living museum. It also offered opportunities to expand existing strategic partnerships while establishing new ones.
These events are part of broader efforts by the RCU to develop opportunities that attract international visitors. By showcasing their shared heritage, they aim to strengthen connections with partners from China and other Silk Road countries.
The Royal Commission for AlUla continues its commitment to preserving cultural heritage through active participation in global forums like these. Their engagement highlights AlUla's significance as a historical destination while fostering international cooperation.
