Ruler Of Ras Al Khaimah And China's Vice Premier Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, recently met with Hé Lìfēng, Vice Premier of the State Council of China. They discussed strengthening cultural exchange, investment, and trade between their countries. This meeting marks the beginning of Sheikh Saud's six-day visit to China.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Saud conveyed best wishes from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Chinese Vice Premier. The UAE and China will celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations in 2024. This milestone highlights the enduring partnership between the two nations.
Sheikh Saud emphasized the significance of their relationship by stating, "The UAE is China’s largest trading partner in the Arab region, which speaks of the strength of relations and how our growing partnerships make our nations important strategic trade destinations for each other." He also stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation to enhance cultural, economic, and trade ties.
On Sunday, Sheikh Saud delivered a keynote speech at the opening of the 24th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT). This event is one of China's largest investment fairs, drawing over 1,000 business delegations, 5,000 companies, and 50,000 business professionals. His address underscored the importance of continued collaboration between UAE and Chinese businesses.
The visit includes stops in Dongguan and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. During these visits, Sheikh Saud will meet with government officials and business leaders to discuss further opportunities for cooperation. Additionally, he will explore cultural and historical sites to deepen his understanding of Chinese heritage.
Expanding Economic Partnerships
Sheikh Saud highlighted that through constructive dialogue and exchange of ideas and expertise, both nations aim to expand their economic partnerships. He stated that this would accelerate sustainable development and cooperation for mutual prosperity.
