Ras Al Khaimah Chamber And Uganda Discuss Strengthening Trade Exchange And Investment Opportunities

Mohammed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, who leads the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently welcomed Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Uganda's Ambassador to the UAE. Their discussions centred on enhancing economic ties between the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber and the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They focused on boosting trade exchanges and fostering investment cooperation.

Both parties explored the investment benefits available in Ras Al Khaimah and Uganda. They emphasised the need to unlock new opportunities in key sectors within both regions. Al Nuaimi highlighted that the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber is open to initiatives that aid the private sector in finding profitable investments globally, benefiting all involved.

Ras Al Khaimah and Uganda Discuss Trade Relations

Al Nuaimi also noted Uganda's connection to Ras Al Khaimah's business environment through various partnerships and agreements. He stressed the importance of increasing collaborations in small and medium enterprises, which would enhance investment prospects for the private sector and improve the overall business climate.

Ambassador Kibedi expressed his satisfaction with meeting representatives from the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber. He acknowledged its role as the official body managing private sector affairs in the Emirate. Kibedi confirmed Uganda's interest in expanding trade exchanges to serve mutual interests.

The ambassador invited members of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber to attend the UAE–Uganda Business Forum. This event is scheduled from 27th to 29th October in Kampala, Uganda, aiming to further strengthen bilateral trade relations.

Key Attendees at the Meeting

The meeting took place at the Chamber’s headquarters. It was attended by Youssef Mohamed Ismail, First Vice Chairman of the Chamber and Head of the Supreme Committee of Saud Bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Project Development. Dr. Ahmed Al Shemeili, Director-General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, was also present.

This gathering underscored a shared commitment to advancing economic collaboration between Ras Al Khaimah and Uganda. Both sides are keen on exploring new avenues for growth that will benefit their respective economies.
