Ras Al Khaimah Chamber Engages With Bangladesh Consul-General To Enhance Trade Cooperation

The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently engaged in discussions with the Consulate of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in the UAE. The focus was on enhancing economic and commercial ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh. They explored ways to establish strong bilateral partnerships that could foster new investment opportunities.

During this meeting, Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, met with Md. Rashedujjaman, Consul-General of Bangladesh in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The meeting took place at the Chamber's headquarters. Al Nuaimi highlighted the Chamber's dedication to offering modern support systems for Bangladeshi companies and investors to help them achieve sustainable growth.

Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh Strengthen Trade Ties

Al Nuaimi emphasised the Chamber's recognition of the potential in economic relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh. He noted that recent figures reflect significant development in these ties. The Chamber aims to leverage this growth by enhancing cooperation, addressing challenges, and promoting trade and investment.

The discussions also covered prospects for cooperation in renewable energy, industrial sectors, and other areas. Both parties acknowledged the need to develop these sectors to benefit both sides. Strengthening relationships among businesspeople through increased meetings and visits was also a key point of discussion.

The Consul-General proposed establishing a Bangladesh Business Council in Ras Al Khaimah, similar to those in other Emirates. This council would serve as a platform for Bangladeshi business interests in the region. Both parties agreed on organising workshops for the Bangladeshi community in Ras Al Khaimah.

They discussed setting a framework to attract Bangladeshi businesspeople and investments to Ras Al Khaimah. This initiative aims to create a conducive environment for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs looking to expand their businesses within the emirate.

The meeting underscored mutual readiness to advance cooperation areas that would enhance bilateral relations further. By focusing on joint development areas like renewable energy, both sides aim to create more opportunities for collaboration.

This dialogue marks a step towards strengthening economic ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh, paving the way for future partnerships that could benefit both regions economically.
