Discover Rare Books And Manuscripts At Riyadh International Book Fair's Al-Hakami Library Exhibit
Al-Hakami Library, owned by Mohammed Al-Hakami, is a standout exhibit at the Riyadh International Book Fair. This library is a treasure trove of historical artefacts. Mohammed Al-Hakami shared with SPA: "My love of reading began in elementary school, where I would often buy and read books. Later, I encountered someone who owned a library specializing in rare books. This encounter inspired me to start my own library."
Over 16 years, Al-Hakami focused on collecting rare books about Arabian Peninsula history, genealogies, folk poetry, travel literature, horses, and camels. His dedication has resulted in an impressive collection that reflects his deep interest in these subjects.
The library's founding dates back 35 years when Mohammed Al-Hakami's passion for reading led him to establish it. His journey began with an early love for books during his school years.
