Ramadan Rural Parks And Farms In Qassim Attract Families And Youth

Rural parks, farms, and lodges across Qassim Region are drawing more families and youth during Ramadan, as visitors choose to break their fast in outdoor spaces. These sites offer a mix of Ramadan spirituality and social gathering, with organised settings that differ from routine home iftar arrangements.

Visitors are finding prepared seating areas for different groups, including sections for families and others for youth, which helps maintain comfort and privacy. Many locations also provide iftar and suhoor meals, so guests can spend longer hours in these rural spaces during Ramadan evenings.

Ramadan draws families to Qassim rural parks

This growing demand aligns with wider efforts to boost Qassim Region rural tourism by turning farms and open areas into regulated visitor destinations. The activity is supported by more varied rural locations and integrated services, giving residents and visitors many choices for organised Ramadan gatherings in natural surroundings.

Eng. Salman Al-Suwain, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Qassim Region, stated that rural farms are seeing a clear rise in demand from families and visitors during Ramadan. People are choosing to spend iftar in an agricultural setting that brings together authenticity, greenery, and a calm rural atmosphere.

Eng. Salman Al-Suwain explained that this trend shows the success of initiatives designed to empower rural farms and position them as attractive agricultural and tourism destinations. The branch works with farm owners by easing licensing steps and upgrading electronic services, which helps process applications faster and improves the overall standard of rural projects.

According to the branch, more than 126 applications have been submitted through the "Naama" portal for rural farm licences, and 84 operational licences have already been granted. These figures indicate rising interest in rural tourism investment across Qassim Region and highlight the shift towards structured farm-based visitor activities.

Official backing for Qassim Region rural tourism

Eng. Salman Al-Suwain added that the strong activity seen at rural farms is linked to support from Governor of Qassim Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz. The governor maintains constant interest in strengthening both the agricultural sector and tourism development in the region.

Among the most prominent examples of this support is the governor’s patronage of the First National Forum for Tourism and the launch of the Rural Award. The award motivates farmers to improve their farms and open them to visitors under regulations that protect sustainability and help reinforce the rural economy.

Several visitors mentioned that having iftar in parks and farms during Ramadan offers a welcome change from daily habits and home routines. They noted that these gatherings strengthen social ties, create distinctive Ramadan atmospheres, and allow people to enjoy the mild evening weather in Qassim Region’s rural settings.

Observers note that the combination of organised services, growing investment, and official backing is turning Qassim Region’s rural areas into notable destinations during Ramadan. Current trends suggest that the mix of worship, nature, and social contact will continue to attract visitors to these sites in future seasons.
