41st Ramadan Nights At Expo Sharjah: A Fusion Of Discounts And Culture

The 41st edition of the "Ramadan Nights" exhibition, a highly anticipated event during the holy month of Ramadan, commenced yesterday evening, Thursday, and will continue until 10th April. This event, taking place at the Expo Centre Sharjah and supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), spans over 21 days and offers visitors massive discounts of up to 75 percent on a wide range of products. More than 200 key retailers are participating, representing around 500 international and local brands.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah. The ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Walid Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber, Saif Mohammad Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing at SCCI, Sultan Shataf, Commercial Director at Expo Centre Sharjah, among other officials and diplomats.

Following the opening ceremony, guests were taken on a tour across the diverse halls and pavilions of the exhibition. They interacted with exhibitors from major retailers and explored an array of products on display. The Heritage Village was a highlight, offering heritage-themed programmes and artistic performances, alongside exhibits curated by productive families showcasing traditional attire, tools, handicrafts, incense, beverages, and popular Ramadan delicacies.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais highlighted the importance of "Ramadan Nights" as a flagship initiative that not only enhances the festive shopping and entertainment experiences but also supports the retail and tourism sector. He emphasized its role in strengthening social cohesion and supporting heritage activities over its 41-year tenure.

Saif Mohammad Al Midfa pointed out that the exhibition has become a staple event during Ramadan, offering visitors access to competitive offers and discounts on both local and international products. It also serves as a platform for small and medium-sized business owners, entrepreneurs, and productive families to showcase their offerings.

Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan noted that "Ramadan Nights" aims to stimulate economic and commercial activity in Sharjah, bolstering the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event provides a platform for showcasing offerings amidst cultural, social, and spiritually enriching activities synonymous with Ramadan.

The exhibition spans over 16,000 metres and is expected to draw more than 150,000 visitors. It showcases alluring offers and discounts on a diverse array of products including apparel, sports gear, artisanal products, traditional and heritage handicrafts, electrical appliances, and groceries. Additionally, a restaurant lounge hosting food stalls serves popular delicacies covering myriad cuisines from around the world.

"Ramadan Nights" operates daily during the holy month from 17:00 to 01:00 and from 15:00 to midnight during Eid Al-Fitr. This event not only offers an exceptional shopping experience but also enriches the festive atmosphere with its engaging activities and entertaining events for families and shoppers from diverse backgrounds across the emirate.
