Museum Of The Future Hosts 'Ramadan Majlis Nights' Blending Islamic Values With Innovation
The Museum of the Future has unveiled plans to host a series of engaging dialogue sessions titled "Threads of Virtue: Weaving Islamic Principles into the Fabric of Future Innovations" during Ramadan. These sessions are set to unfold over three evenings, in collaboration with Dubai Future Labs, which is dedicated to advancing robotics and AI. The initiative aims to merge Islam's rich heritage with contemporary scientific advancements and policymaking.
Set against the backdrop of Ramadan, these Majlis Nights will feature a diverse group of expert speakers, including international academics and UAE thought leaders. The discussions will revolve around how Islamic principles can influence the future of innovation and research, with a special emphasis on technology and digital transformation.

Majed Al Mansoori, Deputy Executive Director at the Museum of the Future, expressed pride in this collaborative effort with Dubai Future Labs. He highlighted the event's alignment with the Museum's vision to be a hub for future foresight. The Ramadan Majlis Nights are designed to foster discussions on innovation, social responsibility, and progress through an interdisciplinary approach.
The inaugural session on Saturday, 16th March 2024, will delve into integrating Islamic ethical principles within modern scientific and technological research. This evening will feature insights from Dr. Roy Casagranda of Austin Community College, USA, and Dr. Mohamed Qasem, Dean of the Dubai Future Academy. The focus will be on achieving harmony between progress and moral responsibility.
The second session scheduled for Saturday, 23rd March, promises an exploration into sustainability, the environment, ethical stewardship, and their future within Islam's context. Esteemed speakers such as Dr. Reema Misbah Al Qaruty from the University of Dubai, Professor Odeh Al-Jayyousi from Arabian Gulf University of Bahrain, and Manal Bahman from Emirates Nature-WWF will share their perspectives.
Technology's Role in Sustainable Development
Concluding the series on Saturday, 30th March, the third session will examine technology and digital transformation's impact on sustainable development globally. Dr. Abdallah Rothman and Awad Bin Hasoum Al Darmaki will discuss how advanced technology influences communities worldwide.
Through these sessions, the Museum of the Future and Dubai Future Labs aim to highlight the significance of Islamic principles in guiding future innovations.
