RAKMHSU Sets Benchmark With Five-Star QS Rating In Academic Excellence

RAK Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) has recently been awarded a five-star rating by the QS Stars International Rating, marking a significant milestone as the first medical university in the country to achieve such recognition. This accolade underscores RAKMHSU's commitment to academic excellence and its prominent position in medical and health education within the region. Professor Ismail Matalka, President of RAKMHSU, highlighted the rigorous and independent analysis conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) that led to this prestigious rating.

Quacquarelli Symonds, a leading UK-based organization specializing in the global higher education sector, evaluates universities based on several criteria including teaching quality, graduate employment, campus facilities and environment, international relations, and comprehensive student care. The QS Stars Rating system assigns universities a rating from one to five stars based on their performance across these criteria.

According to Professor Matalka, the five-star overall rating and the top ratings in teaching, medical program, graduate employment opportunities, and facilities reflect RAKMHSU's dedication to excellence. He emphasized the university's commitment to providing a stimulating learning environment and offering distinguished programs that adhere to the highest international standards.

Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, Executive Director of QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), presented the five-star certificate to Professor Matalka in an event attended by Salem Al Sharhan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of RAKMHSU, faculty members, students, and alumni. Dr. Fernandes commended RAKMHSU for its top-tier education and innovation-friendly environment, acknowledging the university's leadership in global higher education.

Salem Al Sharhan expressed pride in RAKMHSU's ranking among top-performing universities globally.
