Rakez Enhances UAE-China Economic Cooperation Through Strategic Delegation Tour Across Four Cities
A delegation from Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), led by Group CEO Ramy Jallad, recently completed a strategic tour of four major Chinese cities: Shenzhen, Ningxia, Xiamen, and Hangzhou. The visit aimed to boost economic cooperation and explore cross-border investment opportunities between the regions.
During their visit, RAKEZ representatives engaged with key business figures across various sectors such as new energy vehicles, furnishing, unmanned aerial vehicles, building materials, packaging, and manufacturing. They also held discussions with Longhua-Shenzhen Government officials, Guangdong Emirates Business Union members, and China National Building Material Group to enhance industrial collaboration and trade partnerships.

At the 7th China-Arab States Expo in Ningxia, Jallad delivered a keynote speech at the China-UAE Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference. He highlighted the strong partnership between China and the Arab world based on innovation and sustainable development. Jallad emphasised how UAE's free zones have evolved into dynamic ecosystems that attract global investors.
Jallad stated, "Our visit to China was a valuable opportunity to strengthen partnerships and experience the innovation and ambition fuelling its industrial growth. We explored powerful synergies between our economies and uncovered high-impact collaboration opportunities across cities. These engagements reaffirm our commitment to building stronger economic bridges between Ras Al Khaimah and China. At RAKEZ, we’re proud to be a strategic ally for Chinese enterprises looking to expand globally and are fully equipped to support their growth from the heart of the Middle East."
RAKEZ COO Anas Hijjawi spoke at the 7th Silk Road Maritime International Cooperation Forum during the China International Fair for Investment and Trade. Additionally, RAKEZ co-hosted a seminar with Zhejiang Province's Department of Commerce. Both events showcased Ras Al Khaimah’s strong economic environment, specialised industrial zones, and investor-focused business solutions.
The UAE remains China's largest trading partner in the Arab world. It serves as a crucial hub for over 60% of Chinese exports to the MENA region, reaching more than 400 cities. Through RAKEZ, Ras Al Khaimah plays an essential role in supporting China's Belt and Road Initiative in the Middle East.
