RAKEZ Launches HS&E Appreciation Awards To Honour Excellence In Safety And Sustainability

The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has recently launched the HS&E Appreciation Awards, a pioneering initiative designed to acknowledge and reward companies within the zone for their outstanding commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) practices. This initiative underscores RAKEZ's dedication to promoting regulatory compliance, elevating standards, and cultivating a culture of safety and sustainability among its business community.

Companies were evaluated for the HS&E Appreciation Awards based on several criteria, including adherence to RAKEZ's guidelines, compliance status, responsiveness, internal health and safety systems, risk management policies, incident prevention efforts, and overall commitment to safety and sustainability. Among the winners, Motherson PKC Harness Systems stood out for its leadership in safety, innovation, and sustainability within auto electrical wire manufacturing processes.

Al Dobowi was recognized for its excellence in environmental management and energy efficiency through its advanced battery manufacturing technologies. Saverglass received accolades for its artisanal craftsmanship in high-end glass bottle manufacturing, setting high standards in waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable production practices. Precision Gravure Printing was acknowledged for its role in leading packaging material manufacturing towards sustainability with innovative recycling practices and the promotion of a circular economy.

Ramy Jallad, RAKEZ Group CEO, expressed pride in the achievements of these companies.
