Rakez Delegation Strengthens Business Ties With Indian Leaders In Major Cities
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently concluded a week-long roadshow in India, visiting Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. This initiative aimed to strengthen its collaboration with Indian businesses. Led by RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad, the delegation sought to enhance business connections and strategic partnerships with Indian investors and enterprises.
"India is a key market for us and home to one of our strongest investor communities. Our relationship with Indian businesses goes beyond participation in events and exhibitions. We have built deep-rooted connections through years of continuous engagement, and we are proud to be the go-to hub for thousands of Indian companies expanding into the UAE and beyond. This roadshow was part of our ongoing commitment to enabling Indian investors to thrive globally from our base in Ras Al Khaimah," said Jallad.

The roadshow began in Hyderabad at the Expand Middle East event organized by TConsult, an international business advisory firm. During this event, RAKEZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC). The MoU aims to enhance cross-border collaboration, particularly helping the Telugu business community access global opportunities via Ras Al Khaimah.
In Mumbai, RAKEZ participated in the UAE–India Start-up Series’ launch at the Mumbai Start-up Sundowner. This initiative by the UAE-India CEPA Council focuses on identifying and supporting promising Indian startups. The RAKEZ team also engaged with Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, UAE Ambassador to India, Ahmed Aljneibi, CEPA Council Director, and Hitesh Shah, Bombay Industries Association President, to explore further economic cooperation.
RAKEZ is already home to over 9,500 Indian investors, making India its largest contributor among more than 35,000 companies. Prominent Indian firms like Mahindra, MSSL, Dabur Naturelle, Ashok Leyland, and Xpro Dielectric Films operate successfully from RAKEZ. These companies benefit from support across various industries such as manufacturing, FMCG, and automotive.
The economic zone offers cost-effective setup options and strong connectivity to regional and global markets. It provides tailored support for startups, SMEs, and industrial players. Partnerships with major Indian industry organisations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), All India Association of Industries (AIAI), UAE-India CEPA Council, Indian Economic Trade Organisation (ITEO), and The Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) further empower Indian enterprises to scale globally.
Commitment to Global Engagement
The India roadshow is part of RAKEZ’s broader strategy for international outreach. By engaging with key global markets actively, it aims to attract high-potential investors and foster strategic partnerships. As RAKEZ expands its international presence further, it remains dedicated to providing a robust environment for businesses looking to establish themselves via Ras Al Khaimah.
The delegation also visited T-Hub in Hyderabad—an innovation campus—and T-Works—one of India's largest prototyping centres—to explore potential collaborations that could benefit both regions' business landscapes.
