Quality Of Life Program Launches Prophetic Migration Trail Project To Preserve Saudi Arabia’s Heritage

The Chief Executive Officer of the Quality of Life Program, Khalid bin Abdullah Albaker, highlighted the launch of the Prophetic Migration Trail project and the On the Prophet’s Path event. This initiative aims to offer a unique experience that preserves Saudi Arabia's Islamic, Arab, and national heritage. It aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives to enhance Islamic identity and cultural awareness.

Albaker explained that the project focuses on developing key historical sites along the routes Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) took during his migration from Makkah to Madinah. It involves restoring and preparing these sites for visitors, revitalizing Islamic heritage, and ensuring seamless access to create a comprehensive visitor experience.

Albaker praised the collaboration among various government entities to ensure the project's success. These entities include the Governorates of Madinah and Makkah, the Ministry of Tourism, the Pilgrim Experience Program, Al Madinah Region Development Authority, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), and the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA).

The project seeks to commemorate the noble event of the Prophet’s migration by developing a unique cultural trail that traverses historical landmarks associated with the migration. Visitors will have the opportunity to relive the moments and events of this pivotal journey, highlighting its historical and spiritual significance.

Albaker underscored the project's significance as a "living narrative" that recounts the events of the migration in an interactive manner. This approach connects generations to rich heritage, enduring values, and religion. The initiative aims to create an immersive experience that allows visitors to engage deeply with Saudi Arabia's cultural history.
