Quality Of Life Program’s 2024 Report Showcases Significant Achievements In Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's Quality of Life Program, part of Vision 2030, showcases significant progress in its 2024 report. The document details advancements across six sectors, enhancing lifestyles and urban environments while boosting cultural, entertainment, and sports options. It also highlights community empowerment. The report provides an analytical review of social, cultural, and economic developments through 42 performance indicators. Seven indicators achieved full completion, with 23 surpassing targets.

Khalid Albaker, CEO of the Quality of Life Program, emphasized the centrality of people in the program's goals. He noted a shift from foundational efforts to empowerment and sustainability, impacting lives measurably. Albaker stated that Vision 2030 builds on past successes confidently. Saudi cities are becoming more livable and attractive to investors while supporting talents and aspirations.

2024 Quality of Life Program Report Highlights

The program collaborates with executive entities to enhance urban development and stimulate investment. It aims to expand opportunities in cultural, entertainment, and sports sectors. In tourism alone, Saudi Arabia welcomed over 115.9 million visitors, contributing 4.4% to GDP.

The cultural sector hosted 3,327 events, creating jobs for over 234,000 individuals in cultural industries. The entertainment sector launched 739 new venues and hosted 40 global events. These efforts reflect a commitment to enriching the nation's cultural landscape.

Urban achievements include developing 149 new neighborhood parks and increasing satisfaction with municipal services to 81%. These improvements contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Sports and Hobbies Sector Growth

In sports, adult physical activity reached 58.5%, with the discovery of 1,100 athletic talents. The hobbies sector established 1,832 hobby clubs, underscoring hobbies as vital for quality of life.

The public safety sector saw trust in security services reach an impressive 99.58%, thanks to technological advancements and infrastructure improvements across the Kingdom.

Economic Contributions

Economically, the program added SAR74.5 billion to GDP across covered sectors—exceeding its target by reaching 102%. Non-oil revenues nearly doubled their target at SAR17.8 billion while private investment hit SAR21.6 billion.

The program created 368,900 jobs, achieving 93% of its employment goal. These figures highlight the program's substantial economic impact on Saudi Arabia's growth trajectory.

The report concludes by affirming readiness for Vision 2030's next phase with a focus on collaboration with executive bodies and strengthening private sector involvement.
