Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre Construction Begins In Qiddiya City
Construction of the Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre in Qiddiya City has begun, marking a key step in developing the city as a hub for entertainment, sports and culture. Qiddiya Investment Company confirmed that Nesma and Partners will carry out the building works after the foundation stone was laid.
The project forms part of Qiddiya Investment Company’s wider plan to create integrated destinations that improve quality of life. The Performing Arts Centre is designed to host varied cultural activities, support artistic expression and provide residents and visitors with distinctive experiences across entertainment, sports and culture.

The Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre aims to enhance Qiddiya City’s status as a place for creativity and culture. It is expected to help develop local artistic talent while drawing international performances and cultural events. The new venue is positioned as a major addition to the city’s cultural offering.
The centre has been designed by Tom Wiscombe Architecture, working with BSBG, and uses a futuristic style with monumental forms. Its structure includes interlocking panels and five illuminated blades. These elements are planned to appear integrated with the desert surroundings, creating a clear cultural landmark within Qiddiya City’s landscape.
The start of construction follows the launch of the first phase of Qiddiya City in December 2025, which saw the opening of Six Flags Qiddiya City. During a ceremony held on the Tuwaiq Mountains edge, Managing Director Abdullah Aldawood announced the official start of work and underlined the project’s importance.
Aldawood described the Performing Arts Centre as a project that strengthens Qiddiya City’s cultural position and supports its long-term vision. The combined effect of the new venue, earlier developments and future projects is intended to build Qiddiya City into a leading destination for entertainment, sports and culture.
