Qiddiya Investment Company Launches Playmakers Training Programmes To Upskill Saudi Citizens And Create Job Opportunities
Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has unveiled its 'Playmakers Training Programmes' to enhance job opportunities for Saudi citizens. These initiatives aim to provide skills training in key sectors like entertainment and hospitality. Qiddiya has collaborated with top-tier training providers to ensure participants receive quality education and practical skills. The programmes will eventually include sports, culture, and other areas, aligning with Vision 2030's employment goals.
The 'Playmakers Training Programmes' offer a variety of educational options suitable for different backgrounds and career goals. Participants can choose from short-term courses, vocational training, or higher education degrees. These programmes are designed to prepare individuals for roles within Qiddiya City and Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), including attractions like Six Flags and Aquarabia.

Qiddiya aims to create 325,000 jobs in Qiddiya City and an additional 22,000 across the Kingdom through SEVEN. This initiative provides ample opportunities for Saudis to excel in dynamic sectors. The company has signed agreements with leading global and local training partners and is engaging more partners for future programme phases.
Abdullah Aldawood, Managing Director of QIC, expressed enthusiasm about the launch: "We are thrilled to launch the ‘Playmakers Training Programmes’, which represent a significant step in Qiddiya’s mission to develop Saudi talent and create a vibrant, skilled workforce for the entertainment, hospitality, sports, and culture sectors among others."
Qiddiya collaborates with government and non-profit organisations sharing similar goals of upskilling the Kingdom's future talent. The programmes cater to recent high school graduates as well as professionals seeking new career paths. They offer a clear route to success within Qiddiya’s ecosystem.
An online platform has been launched by Qiddiya to support these programmes. It provides detailed information about available training options. Interested candidates can explore the catalogue on this platform and apply for their preferred programme.
