Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has announced the introduction of a new Performing Arts Centre. This addition aims to enrich Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape and enhance the attractions within Qiddiya City. With stunning architecture, advanced technology, and a commitment to artistic innovation, the centre is set to redefine the cultural experience for residents and visitors alike.
The Performing Arts Centre is the first cultural asset of the newly announced Qiddiya City and is expected to attract over 800,000 visits annually. This unveiling follows the announcement of various entertainment, sports, and cultural attractions, including the world's first multi-use Gaming and Esports District, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, a motorsport track, Dragon Ball theme park, and Aquarabia water theme park.

Abdullah Aldawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company, stated: "Qiddiya City is more than just the home of entertainment and sports; it is a leader in preserving and promoting Saudi culture. The addition of the Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre will elevate Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape. With its modern design, advanced technology, and commitment to nurturing talent, the centre embodies the spirit of Qiddiya City as a place where imagination knows no bounds."
Innovative Design and Technology
The centre will host over 260 indoor and outdoor performances annually. It features over 3,000 seats across three theatres, each offering a 360° experience merging physical and digital elements. A cantilevered amphitheatre provides views of the City’s lower plateau while a fully adaptable 500-seat venue is suspended from above.
Pioneering Experiences
The Centre is dedicated to pioneering experiences and empowering Saudi talent. Leveraging technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence, it will host productions that push traditional theatre boundaries. It will also serve as an incubator for young Saudi talent by providing educational opportunities and resources for writers, producers, and actors.
Economic Growth and Community Integration
The Performing Arts Centre will stimulate economic growth by creating thousands of career opportunities across more than 100 job categories in the creative and cultural sectors. Embracing Qiddiya City's philosophy, it will integrate with its surroundings to offer a holistic cultural experience. Beyond performance halls, it will act as a community hub with dining, retail, and educational entertainment options.
Architectural Highlights
A rooftop sky garden, art galleries, and green spaces will extend the cultural experience. The centre's iconic architecture will serve as a symbol of civic identity. The dramatic setting includes a promenade walk extending across the Tuwaiq cliffs leading to a shaded section beneath the centre offering a viewing platform across the City.
The Performing Arts Centre embodies Qiddiya City's vision of innovation, inclusivity, and celebrating Saudi Arabia's rich cultural heritage.
