Qiddiya City Set To Host First FIA Extreme H World Cup Event In October 2025
The FIA Extreme H World Cup, the first hydrogen-powered motorsport event globally, will debut in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, from October 9 to 11, 2025. This event will unfold against the stunning Tuwaiq Mountains backdrop. The site is being transformed into a leading motorsport venue. This inaugural race aligns with Saudi Arabia's ambitious motorsport goals.
Qiddiya City aims to become a global centre for motorsport, innovation, and entertainment. Central to this vision is the newly revealed Speed Park Track. This state-of-the-art circuit features dramatic elevation changes and iconic elements like the 20-storey "Blade" turn. It integrates with entertainment landmarks such as Six Flags Theme Park and Aquarabia.

The city shares a commitment to sustainability with the FIA Extreme H World Cup. It aims for net zero carbon emissions by 2060 through initiatives like renewable energy infrastructure and EV charging in 80% of parking spaces. A significant tree planting initiative supports the Saudi Green Initiative's goal of planting 10 billion trees by 2030.
Before Extreme H begins, the 'final fling' Extreme E Desert X Prix will occur on October 4 and 5. This event concludes the previous championship season. Following this, Extreme H will commence on October 9-11, marking a new chapter in sustainable motorsport.
