Eid Al Fitr In Qatar: Over 600 Mosques, Open Grounds Prepare To Host Prayers
Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs through its Mosques Management Department has announced the preparation of 642 mosques and open grounds for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr prayers. This significant religious event is scheduled to take place at 5:32 am, with arrangements made to host the maximum number of worshippers by providing more than one prayer venue in each area.
Specifically, Freej Bin Mahmoud will welcome worshippers at four locations including Al Marikhat Mosque and Jaafar bin Abi Talib Mosque among others. Similarly, three venues in Freej Bin Omran and four in Freej Bin Abdul Aziz have been readied for the prayers. Notably, Al Sadd will see six mosques and grounds prepared for this occasion, showcasing the extensive efforts made to accommodate the community.
Further preparations include designated places in Al Doha Al Jadeeda, Al Duhail, and Al Thumama, each offering multiple locations for the Eid prayers. Abu Hamour, Al Dafna, and the Hamad International Airport area have also seen arrangements for this significant day, with two mosques ready at the airport to serve travelers and staff alike.
Ain Khalid stands out with 14 mosques and prayer grounds, while Madinat Khalifa and Mesaimeer each have nine places prepared. The north and south regions of Muaither boast a combined total of 26 mosques and grounds, highlighting the comprehensive planning undertaken. Additionally, the Industrial Area, Al Wakrah, and Al Wukair are not left behind, with 12, 18, and 15 locations respectively, all set for the Eid Al Fitr prayers.
This extensive preparation underscores the Ministry's commitment to ensuring that worshippers can perform their prayers in a comfortable and organised manner. By offering a wide range of locations across the city and its outskirts, the Ministry aims to facilitate the observance of this important religious celebration, ensuring a spiritually fulfilling experience for all participants.
