Qatar's Interior Ministry Rolls Out Strategic Plan For Enhanced Safety By 2030

In a significant development that underscores Qatar's commitment to enhancing its security and public safety infrastructure, the Ministry of Interior has unveiled its strategic plan for the years 2024 to 2030. The announcement was made in a ceremony attended by high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The newly launched strategy aligns with the Ministry's vision to achieve regional and international prominence in security stability and public safety, furthering its mission through excellence in service delivery and performance. Colonel Khalid Abdulaziz Al Mohannadi, Director of the Strategic Planning Department at the Ministry of Interior, emphasized the strategic plan's role in advancing towards the aspirations of leadership and society in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Colonel Al Mohannadi detailed the rigorous scientific and methodological approach employed in formulating the strategic plan, which aims to address national development objectives for the period of 2024-2030. The plan was crafted in close coordination with various departments within the Ministry, focusing on sustainability, performance excellence, and a thorough analysis of internal and external factors influencing the ministry’s goals.

During the ceremony, Captain Mohammed Nasser Al Khalifa, head of the planning and follow-up section, provided insights into the strategy's connection with Qatar National Vision 2030. He highlighted Qatar's achievements in global indicators in 2023 and the prestigious awards received by the ministry during the previous strategy period of 2018-2022.

The presentation outlined the seven pivotal goals of the Ministry of Interior's 2024-2030 strategy. These goals focus on maintaining security stability, reducing crime rates, combating cybercrimes, enhancing road safety, protecting and saving lives and property, efficiently managing emergencies, and improving the efficiency of the ministry’s human and material resources. Additionally, the strategy aims to enhance the quality of services provided, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to achieving the Ministry’s vision and mission.

This strategic initiative reflects Qatar's proactive stance on security and safety, marking a significant step towards realizing its ambitious vision for 2030.
