Qassim Tourism Growth In Q3 2025 Driven By Innovative Programs And Experiences

Qassim Region saw strong growth in the tourism sector by the end of the third quarter of 2025, supported by targeted programs and investments. Data from the Ministry of Tourism showed rising visitor numbers, longer stays, and higher spending, highlighting the region’s role in Saudi Arabia’s wider tourism goals and its capacity to attract both domestic and international travellers.

Preliminary figures indicated that about 3.7 million tourists, both domestic and inbound, visited Qassim during this period. Inbound tourism alone increased by 4% compared with the same period in 2024. Total spending by these visitors reached around SAR4.5 billion, underlining tourism’s growing economic contribution to the region’s development.

Qassim Tourism Growth in Q3 2025

The growth in Qassim tourism was closely linked to new programs centred on practical activities and exploration. Authorities launched experiences that allowed visitors to engage directly with nature and local culture. These included guided trips into natural areas, visits to heritage sites, and activities that highlighted traditional crafts, foods, and products created within the region’s towns and villages.

Heritage markets became an important part of the visitor offer, giving tourists direct access to local products and customs. Organised nature trails and family-focused entertainment events also broadened the appeal for different age groups. These initiatives supported Qassim’s position as a destination where visitors could enjoy outdoor activities, learn about local traditions, and participate in interactive experiences rather than only viewing attractions.

Infrastructure development played a central role in the expansion of Qassim tourism. Authorities worked on road networks and tourism facilities to improve access to sites and events. Seasonal festivals were organised to attract visitors during key periods, while new recreational spaces and interactive areas for children were established to support family travel and extended stays.

Encouraging local entrepreneurship was another element shaping the tourism sector in Qassim. Small and medium enterprises were supported to deliver innovative tourism services, such as guided tours, specialised accommodation, and new entertainment options. This approach helped diversify offerings for tourists, giving visitors more choice and helping businesses within the region benefit directly from increased travel activity.

Statistical data showed that the average stay per trip in Qassim reached 9.2 nights, with average spending of around SAR1,217 for each tourist. These figures indicated that visitors were not only coming in larger numbers but were also staying longer and spending more.
