Governor Prince Dr. Faisal Opens Qassim International Surgery Conference 2024 Focused On Surgical Technology Advancements

The 2024 Qassim International Surgery Conference (QISR) has been inaugurated by Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Qassim Region. This event, themed "Revolution in Surgical Technology," is taking place at the King Khalid Cultural Center over three days. It aims to highlight the latest advancements in surgical medicine.

Prince Dr. Faisal emphasised the significance of such gatherings in utilising modern technology to enhance healthcare services, especially in surgery. He stated: "This conference serves as an important scientific platform, bringing together experts and specialists to exchange knowledge and expertise, thereby enhancing the quality of medical care and boosting the capabilities of the healthcare sector."

The conference aims to spotlight recent research, innovations, and medical technologies that improve surgical performance and elevate healthcare quality. An exhibition accompanies the event, showcasing advanced medical devices and technologies designed to support and develop healthcare professionals' skills.

Dr. Majed Alrudayni, Director of King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, expressed gratitude for Prince Dr. Faisal's support for the conference. He noted that it fosters collaboration among doctors and experts from Saudi Arabia and abroad while facilitating knowledge exchange in surgery.

The event includes specialised workshops organised with leading local and international medical companies. Dr. Alrudayni revealed that 135 speakers from within and outside Saudi Arabia are participating, offering 113 scientific lectures across 15 specialised surgical fields alongside 11 medical workshops.

Prince Dr. Faisal highlighted how technology has become crucial in improving surgical outcomes and healthcare quality for patients. He added: "With the grace of Allah and through the Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom is witnessing remarkable progress in adopting modern Technology in the medical field, positively impacting public health and quality of life."
