Public Consultation Platform Istitlaa Invites Feedback On 76 Economic And Development Projects
The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, "Istitlaa," has introduced 76 projects focused on economic and development issues. In collaboration with 25 government entities, the NCC allows stakeholders to share their opinions and suggestions on these initiatives before they receive approval.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has proposed a project named "Temporary Hostel Requirements" on the Istitlaa platform. This initiative aims to ensure consumer safety and health, create lawful job opportunities for citizens, and regulate temporary accommodations. Feedback from the public will be accepted until a specified date.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has put forward a project titled "Regulations for Organizing Work in High-Risk Professions." This project seeks to establish mechanisms for classifying and licensing based on occupational risks' nature, level, and duration to protect workers. Public feedback is open until a designated date.
The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority is inviting input on a regulatory framework called "Updating the Rules for Practicing the Profession of Customs Clearance." The project aims to document policies, regulations, and legislation related to customs clearance through steps applied when goods arrive at customs offices for import, export, or transit. Public consultation will remain open until a specific date.
The Transport General Authority is seeking feedback on three regulatory frameworks: "Amendments to Railway Law," "Amendments to Postal Law," and "Amendments to the Maritime Commercial System." These projects aim to align with regulatory changes that enhance service quality, reinforce compliance, and balance oversight with development in railway, postal, and maritime sectors. Public consultation will remain open until an announced date.
By introducing draft regulations and by-laws through the Istitlaa platform, transparency in the legislative environment is enhanced. The platform encourages public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute insights and feedback on proposed business environment regulations.
