Comprehensive Plan Set For Ramadan 1445 Hijri At Prophet's Mosque
In a significant move to enhance the experience of worshippers and visitors during Ramadan, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque has unveiled a comprehensive plan. This initiative is part of Saudi Vision 2030 and reflects the aspirations of the country's leadership to provide top-notch services and care. The plan involves the deployment of approximately 3,000 employees from various specializations, alongside personnel from other entities, all dedicated to serving at the Prophet's Mosque.
Supporting these efforts, an impressive force of 9,000 volunteers will participate in 49 volunteer initiatives. This volunteer workforce is a testament to the community's commitment to ensuring a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan for all visitors. In collaboration with security authorities, the plan also focuses on managing the movement of crowds efficiently within the mosque and its courtyards, anticipating high turnout rates during the holy month.

To cater to the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities, 26 special prayer areas have been designated at the mosque and its courtyards. These areas are equipped with all necessary services to ensure comfort and accessibility. Additionally, electric carts (golf carts) and wheelchairs are available at gates 309 and 340, facilitating easy movement for these individuals within the mosque premises.
Zamzam Water Distribution
The authority is also ramping up efforts to provide Zamzam water to worshippers and fasting individuals through various means. Dispensers in the Prophet's Mosque, Zamzam containers, and backpack dispensers will be utilized to meet the expected daily consumption of 400,000 liters of Zamzam water during Ramadan.
Iftar Standards and Cleanliness Measures
Ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for Iftar at the Prophet's Mosque is a priority. The authority has set specific standards for meals served by catering companies to maintain safety and cleanliness. Furthermore, 25,000 carpets have been provided for use within the mosque, its courtyards, and facilities. These carpets undergo round-the-clock cleaning to ensure a clean praying environment for worshippers.
The cleaning programs are intensified throughout Ramadan, especially during peak times such as Iftar and Taraweeh prayers. This comprehensive approach underscores the authority's dedication to facilitating a serene and spiritually enriching Ramadan experience for all visitors to the Prophet's Mosque.
