Prophet's Mosque Hosts Over 12 Million Worshippers In Pre-Hajj Period With Extensive Services
The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has been actively providing a wide range of services to pilgrims before Hajj. This effort underscores their dedication to ensuring a safe and organised environment for worshippers. Recent statistics show that from Dhu al-Qi’dah 15 to the first of Dhu al-Hijjah, 12,914,153 worshippers visited the Prophet’s Mosque.
During this period, the Holy Rawdah welcomed 666,580 visitors. The authority went beyond facilitating prayer by offering various services to pilgrims. Transportation services in the courtyards benefited 161,802 individuals. Additionally, they distributed 301,802 Iftar meals to those fasting and provided 218,336 bottles of Zamzam water.

Total Zamzam consumption reached an impressive 3,360 tons. Environmental cleanliness was also a priority. Teams removed 312 tons of waste and used 41,675 litres of disinfectants and sterilizers within the mosque. An extra 10,950 litres were allocated for other facilities.
To enhance the spiritual atmosphere further, seven kilograms of incense were used along with 39 litres of luxurious perfumes and oils. These efforts are part of a broader operational plan approved for the Hajj season. The aim is to provide top-notch services to pilgrims while ensuring their comfort during their visit.
The extensive measures reflect the profound care provided by wise leadership towards the Prophet’s Mosque. This commitment ensures that worshippers can perform their rituals with peace of mind in a well-maintained environment.
